What's New?

Speaking about what is new…I am pleased to have this opportunity to inform you of some exciting changes that many of you may be unaware of.

First we now have Story-time!! Yeah! I am so excited to bring you this opportunity. Our first story time saw over a dozen children with their parents joining us for a good time. We will welcome children of any age, or anyone who would like to hear a story; to join us on Wednesday’s at 7 pm for a story with cookies and milk. Every Wednesday a volunteer will read to the gathered children of all ages. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer reader, give me a call at 278-5338.

The second thing is that our hours have changed to accommodate the story time. The big change is on Wednesday’s when we are now open from noon to 8 pm. Our regular business hours are now Tuesday from 10-6; Wednesday from 12-8; Thursday from 10-6; and Friday from 10-2.

Also coming in March is a new computer policy change. If you have children under the age of 18 you will need to stop by and sign a new user agreement. The biggest change to the policy is education will be emphasized. The library board would like to promote computer use to those who need to do research, write resumes, and work on homework. Social networking, instant messaging, internet gaming and chat rooms will no longer be accessible. Please advise your teenagers.

Some of your favorite authors, such as Lynn Austin, Barbara Delinsky, John Grisham, William Johnston, and James Patterson, have new books. So don’t forget to stop by and see what’s new or not so new at the Armoral Tuttle Public Library. See you there!!
